“We figured it would be a great success if we had 50,000 people,” said Tuscaloosa Department of Transportation Director Tera Tubbs. “Everything was overcrowded and over capacity.”
The Tuscaloosa air show returns Saturday featuring the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's precision flight team, in addition to other aerobatic acts and attractions on the ground. General admission is free. Reserved seats are $20 and a seat in the tent area is $50, which includes a box lunch and an on-site parking permit.
The Blue Angels will arrive Thursday and will practice Thursday and Friday. ...
