It’s not clear if Lyle Anderson, of Princeton, Minnesota, eschews garden gnomes, concrete deer or plastic flamingos; but there must be a good reason why a rare business jet that never flew is parked on his front lawn. In the late 1970s Tony Fox, a waste compactor manufacturer in Minneapolis, began to develop the Foxjet 600 in an effort to lower the cost of private jet travel and open it up to smaller airports including grass runways. ...

Pun intended). It was a road trip of great value to the VAC. The wounded warrior units and family assistance centers as well as wounded warriors themselves heard directly about our work. An Unexpected Air Show Up in Carthage - The Pilot

"Yes, we are," the kindly daughter type answered. "We are on our way to a big fly-in over in Roxboro tomorrow, and some of us just dropped in for lunch."
How cool is that, I thought. Just fly in for lunch. The lady, Susan Dusenbury, is -president of the Carolinas-Virginia Antique Airplane Foundation Inc. and hails from Walnut Cove, near Winston-Salem. She turned out to be as nice as could be, and told me a little bit about the club and a few of the planes. Then she was off, just like Amelia Earhart. ...
