B-2 Bomber Added to Tulsa Air Show - KRMG
A big attraction is added to this month's Air and Rocket Racing Show. Tulsa Air and Space Museum Executive Director Jim Bridenstine says they've been able to secure fly bys from a B-2 Stealth Bomber. Bridenstine says he's been told Highway 169 turned into a parking lot the last time a B-2 did touch and goes at Tulsa International Airport because people were pulling over to watch. Also added to the April 24th event are two F-15 Strike Eagle jet fighters.

The P-51 Horsemen Aerobatic Team is the world's only group featuring the P-51. It features three pilots flying the single-seat, single-engine planes in a variety of maneuvers.
The air show, which is held annually at Mt. Comfort Airport, has for several years been able to attract either the Air Force Thunderbirds or the Navy Blue Angels, which headlined the show in 2009. They are the most sought-after acts on the summer air show circuit. ...

Profile 41: "OLD CROW" as flown by Bud Anderson from WWII Fighter Plane Profiles
The relationship between pilot and crew is oft-told. You can't read a biography or watch a History Channel presentation without the pilot saying something honorable about his crew. Not to be crass or anything, but it's so common, the sentiments seem pat and cliched any more.
But - those sentiments are real.
I remember Bud getting choked up talking about the service of his Crew Chief, Sgt. Heino and Armorer Sgt. Zimmerman. It was a little uncomfortable for me, because up to that point, I'd had this impression that these guys lived compartmentalized, clenched jaw lives. Like John Wayne. To hear devotion and unashamed reliance...that was new. ...

Swanky Convair B-58 Derivative SST - Circa 1960 by Martt
The first flight of the B-58 was in late 1956, and the airplane went operational with the USAF in 1960. This first-ever supersonic bomber was expensive, complicated, and somewhat difficult to fly, but it was also a very successful hot rod in the rapidly expanding world of supersonic flight. This put Convair in a unique position of having a proven basic design philosophy that could easily(?) be manipulated into creating a supersonic platform capable of carrying passengers. ...
Spiteful AZ Model 1/72 from Let Let Let - Warplanes
Spiteful belong to the great family of fighters and it is direct development of the famous Spitfire. Very interesting to note is that first version of the Spiteful was marked as model XIV and the main reason is because it is made from the various conversion from the standard Spitfire Mk. XIV. Maiden flight was first flown on 30 June 1944 with test pilot Jeffrey Quill at controls. Introducing of the jet fighters into service limited deployment of this type into the service. Interesting to note that from this type was also developed later deck operated jet plane, Supermarine Attacker. ...
