Lindbergh Foundation events at Sun n Fun

Three Exciting Events with the Lindbergh Foundation
at Sun 'n Fun
April 13, 14 & 15, 2010

The Lindbergh Foundation returns to Sun 'n Fun for several events.  For the first time, the Lindbergh Foundation will hold its annual Lindbergh Award Celebration at Sun 'n Fun, and will be honoring Jack J. Pelton with the 2010 Lindbergh Award, and FedEx Corporation with its Corporate Award for Balance.  A showing of "Over Africa" followed by a panel discussion will be held following the event at the AOPA Pavilion.

In addition, a press conference will be held to announce the 2010 Lindbergh Grant Recipients, and give an update on how the Husky airplane is being used to benefit the Kenya Wildlife Service in its efforts to reduce poaching.
Finally, April 15 is Lindbergh Foundation day.  There are lots of speakers and presentations planned that day, which address the Lindbergh Foundation's mission to address aviation-environmental issues.

The Lindbergh Foundation also values individual initiative and accomplishments. Its programs are devoted to supporting, honoring, and educating individuals, through three major programs:  the annual Lindbergh Award, presented to individuals for significant contributions toward balancing nature and scientific innovation in their work; the Lindbergh Grants program, which provides grants in amounts up to $10,580 (the cost of building the Spirit of St. Louis in 1927) for research or education projects that will make important contributions to the technology/environment balance; and a variety of educational events and publications centered on the balance theme.
