The Cosford Air Show will this year open its gates to international visitors – including Royal Netherlands Air Force F16 fighter jet, bosses have revealed.
The five-hour flying display at the event on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border will see the F16 in action along with the Sea King helicopter from the Belgian Air Force.
And visitors to the show will be able to get up close to an aircraft from the French Air Force which will be on show on the ground.
Southend Air Festival poised for success without Red Arrows From Echo
THE Southend airshow will still be a spectacular event this year, despite the main crowd pleaser pulling out, bosses have said.
The Red Arrows pulled out of this year's event following the loss of one of its aircraft during a training exercise last month. But organisers claim the show will still be packed with aerobatic displays.
This year's free two-day event, now named Southend Air Festival, will have a mix of old and new aircraft and displays including a Battle of Britain memorial flight, RAF Falcons parachute team, Breitling Wingwalkers and the Blades Aerobatic Team.
There will also be a "Jumpin Jaques" 67-year-old P-51 Mustang, flown by pilot Peter

The three-part Living History Symposium will conclude with "Victory in the Sky," a tribute to World War II flying aces. Two aces and P-51 Mustang pilots, Don Bryan and Bud Anderson, will sign autographs, meet guests and share with them their personal accounts of flying the P-51 Mustang during wartime and shooting down five or more enemy aircraft in order to earn this prestigious distinction. Flying aces including A.T. House and Bob Liles, who earned the title while flying other aircraft, also will be on hand to greet guests and sign autographs. ...
