Charity Event Raises Funds to Help Local Military Families Avoid Foreclosure and Financial Crisis

TORRANCE, CA- The Murray Grey Foundation announced today that it will be teaming up with the aviation and music industry on Saturday, May 1, 2010 to hold a charity fundraising concert featuring the Blues Brothers tribute band and other surprise celebrity guests. Together they will raise needed funds for military families and provide a financial and emotional safety net for those families that serve or have served America.
"Many military families are experiencing a short term crisis that endangers their home ownership, and opens the door to a possible foreclosure of their home. The Murray Grey Foundation helps these military families save their homes from foreclosure," said David Walsh of the Murray Grey Foundation. "This usually includes providing short term financial assistance and helping them in re-adjusting the relationship with their mortgage lender. The Foundation additionally helps provide emergency food, clothing and other critical resources to those families in need."

"The Aim High Events Team is excited to be working together on this co-operative fundraising effort and we're fortunate MotoArt has offered to host the night festivities, said Jim Pera of Aim High Marketing which is putting together the night's events. "With the glowing runway of Torrance Airport as a backdrop, MotoArt features a canopy of camo net, and the ceilings and walls were dripping with Vintage airplane parts and banners of USO pin-up girls.  Our guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail or 1940's attire and they'll have the unique opportunity to bid on some very exciting items with proceeds going to those local military families in need. Guests will also be able to get up-close to some authentic, vintage World War II aircraft, including the B-25 "Executive Sweet, P-51 Mustang, and P-38 lighting. We'll have one-of-a-kind entertainment from a Blues Brothers tribute band, Sully's providing food and drinks, and guests with have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the pin-up models from the Warbird Calendar."

The Murray Grey, Aim High Events Team, MotoArt and all our sponsors feel strongly about the importance of honoring our country and encourage the local community and businesses to support the event through donations, sponsorship and ticket sales.
