Charity Event Raises Funds to Help Local Military Families Avoid Foreclosure and Financial Crisis


TORRANCE, CA- The Murray Grey Foundation announced today that it will be teaming up with the aviation and music industry on Saturday, May 1, 2010 to hold a charity fundraising concert featuring the Blues Brothers tribute band and other surprise celebrity guests. Together they will raise needed funds for military families and provide a financial and emotional safety net for those families that serve or have served America.
"Many military families are experiencing a short term crisis that endangers their home ownership, and opens the door to a possible foreclosure of their home. The Murray Grey Foundation helps these military families save their homes from foreclosure," said David Walsh of the Murray Grey Foundation. "This usually includes providing short term financial assistance and helping them in re-adjusting the relationship with their mortgage lender. The Foundation additionally helps provide emergency food, clothing and other critical resources to those families in need."

"The Aim High Events Team is excited to be working together on this co-operative fundraising effort and we're fortunate MotoArt has offered to host the night festivities, said Jim Pera of Aim High Marketing which is putting together the night's events. "With the glowing runway of Torrance Airport as a backdrop, MotoArt features a canopy of camo net, and the ceilings and walls were dripping with Vintage airplane parts and banners of USO pin-up girls.  Our guests are encouraged to dress in cocktail or 1940's attire and they'll have the unique opportunity to bid on some very exciting items with proceeds going to those local military families in need. Guests will also be able to get up-close to some authentic, vintage World War II aircraft, including the B-25 "Executive Sweet, P-51 Mustang, and P-38 lighting. We'll have one-of-a-kind entertainment from a Blues Brothers tribute band, Sully's providing food and drinks, and guests with have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the pin-up models from the Warbird Calendar."

HOT TO TROT: P-51 Mustangs, Blues Music and Pin-Up Girls

Salute our Troops during a Unique Evening Celebration

TORRANCE, CA- Immersed within the glow of the P-51 Mustang, P-38 Lightning, B-25 Mitchell Bomber, and 1934 Packard, Aim High Events, MotoArt, Girardi Wealth Management, JH Audio, Sully’s and many more, would like to invite you to salute our troops in an evening fundraiser under the stars on May 1st from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Proceeds from the evening’s events will go to the families of our Armed Forces to help them with basic financial needs.

The event is hosted at the prestigious MotoArt showroom, which features a canopy of camo net, ceilings and walls that are dripping with Vintage airplane parts, and banners of USO pin-up girls decorating the aircraft-themed walls. Kicking off the evening’s celebrations will be a special performance of The Warrior Song Project video whose inspirational viral web impact recently surpassed 1.2 million views on iTunes. Written and produced to rally and motivate the US troops, songwriter Sean Householder said, “I know there are a vast number of individuals in this country who look upon these men and women (of our Armed Forces) with the same level of awe, admiration, love and respect as I do. And in my opinion, we will never be able to do enough to show it.” 

Invading the stage after The Warrior Song will be the local Blues Brothers tribute band, Shotgun Blues. Attendees will be able to dine under the stars compliments of locally-owned Sully’s lounge which is providing the incredible appetizers and cocktails in support of our troops.  Karl Strauss Brewery is generously supplying complimentary beer for the evening. And while eating, drinking and dancing, guests with have the opportunity to have their picture taken with the pin-up models from the Warbird Calendar, bid on some very exciting auction items including a ride on the Body Glove yacht, and get up-close to authentic, vintage World War II aircraft, including the B-25 “Executive Sweet, P-51 Mustang, Yak 11, and P-38.
