The Vintage Planes of Hahnweide Air Show 2009 by blendipel
Yes I know it's a bit off-topic, but nevertheless I want to show some pictures I took at the "Oldtimer-Fliegertreffen Hahnweide" (EDST) here.
It was really a great show, although in the second part, taking photos was close to impossible because of backlight. And of course you can hardly show how impressive those warbirds and other old planes really are and how elegant they fly their aerobatic maneuvers....

Shoreham Airshow 2010 from Flightline UK
Shoreham Airshow will return in 2010 over the weekend 21st-22nd August, once again sharing acts with the Bournemouth Air Festival.
The 2010 show will celebrate a number of important anniversaries. The show will mark the 70th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain along with a number of other shows. However, Shoreham Airport also marks it's own 100th Anniversary in 2010 and Shoreham will host a number of displays celebrating this important anniversary. Shoreham Airport is the UK oldest licenced airfield in the UK.
Shoreham Airshow is the Royal Air Forces Association's premier airshow of the year and will hopefully include a strong line up from current RAF types in the air and on the ground.

Dr. Thomas D. Jones, a veteran NASA astronaut, scientist, speaker, author and consultant, will discuss his book, Hell Hawks!: The War No One Told You About and the Heroes Who Helped America Win It, during a special appearance at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 23 at the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
Co-authored with Robert F. Dorr, Hell Hawks! is the true story of an aerial band of brothers flying the deadly P-47 Thunderbolt, fighting a gritty war in support of American GIs in World War II Europe. These young airmen were ordinary young Americans, thrust into a crucial Allied effort to employ airpower to break the front-line German armies. At the tip of this aerial spear were pilots and ground crews who worked and lived amid the cold and mud of their front-line airfields in conditions not much better than those of the GIs they supported each day.
