Special early morning flight added to World War I Dawn Patrol Rendezvous via National Museum of the USAF
Visitors looking for a closer experience to the true meaning of the words "Dawn Patrol" will get that opportunity on Sept. 26 from 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m., as pilots participating in the 2009 WWI Dawn Patrol Rendezvous perform a special Saturday morning flight.
This early morning flight is weather dependent, and will feature aircraft such as the Nieuport, SE.5, Fokker Dr. I triplane, and many others.
According to Great War Aeroplanes Association president and pilot Fred Murrin, recreating the early morning feel is a great addition to the event.
