Hi, all:
Just a quick note to let you folks who live in or near California know that Glacier Girl will be making two previously unscheduled stops in California on her way to the Reno Air Show.
Planes of Fame President, Steve Hinton, has just left for Texas to pick her up and bring her back to Chino. She should arrive in the next few days, and is expected to be at Chino (and viewable by the public) for a short while, until she takes off for the California Capital Air Show in Sacramento.
We can't help but be pretty stoked to know that there will be three P‑38s in Chino in the next few days -- 23 Skidoo, the Allied Fighters P‑38 and now Glacier Girl. It doesn't get much better than that!
For you folks in other parts of the country, we know it sucks, but it just seems like most of the 38s are owned by West Coasters. Maybe when that Duxford, England, trip gets rescheduled you'll have another shot at seeing Glacier Girl back East.
Anyway, if you're within traveling distance, don't miss her!
Blue skies,
Kelly
