It has been beyond unbelievable and better than she ever imagined. As you can imagine, Jen and Alan were both anxious about making the trip (especially worried how Alan would handle things emotionally), but it has turned out to be the best thing they could have done for Alan, their family, and the loving family they have in the aviation community! ...

BESSEMER, AL - Pilots will launch early Saturday morning, May 2, on a mission in support for one of their own, Bessemer Airport based- Alan Henley. Hosted by the Bessemer Pilots Association, this year's Annual Spring Poker Run event will donate part of the prize money to the Alan Henley Foundation. Henley, former lead pilot of the Birmingham based Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, was injured at home last July in an accident causing him to be paralyzed.
