The power of the United States Air Force F-16 Viper East Demonstration Team takes to the air at the Sun N' Fun Air Show April 24-26 April 2009.

"Heritage Flight" will also team fighters of the past and present in salute of all military personnel

The Air Combat Command (ACC) Viper (F-16) East Demonstration Team will display the awesome capabilities of the F-16 Fighting Falcon at the 2009 Sun N' Fun Air Show at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport.

The US Air Force Demonstration Teams perform precision aerial maneuvers, demonstrating the unique capabilities of Air Force fighter aircraft before tens of thousands of visitors. Demo Team Members will also exhibit the professional qualities the Air Force develops in the people who fly, maintain and support these aircraft.

The F-16 East Demo Team is based at the 20^th Fighter Wing, Shaw AFB, SC. The team is comprised of the demo pilot, Major George "Dog" Clifford, a maintenance team, pilot safety observers and narrators. The aircraft flown in the demo is one of the operational Block-50 F-16s from the 20^th Fighter Wing, Shaw AFB, SC.

USAF Aerial Events Public Relations and Marketing Officer Major Scott Clyman, stated, "Our team is looking forward to performing for the Lakeland, greater Orlando and greater Tampa Bay communities this weekend. We also welcome the opportunity to demonstrate the enormous tactical potential of USAF fighter aircraft. We are equally enthusiastic about discussing the many career opportunities available in the Air Force today. Nothing informs the public about their Air Force better than seeing these aircraft up close and personal and we hope we will have the chance to meet as many visitors as possible."

At Sun N' Fun the Viper East F-16 Demo Team will perform a number of aerobatic and tactical maneuvers designed to show the viewing public the power of the Air Force's premier multi-role fighter the F-16C Fighting Falcon. Also scheduled is the USAF Heritage Flight. This historic formation of past and present fighter aircraft including the F-16 and P-51 Mustang pays tribute to all the Air Force pilots, their dedicated maintenance crews, support personnel. In addition Heritage Flight also pays tribute to all those who have served and to those that are currently serving in the military all over the globe.
