Canadian Forces search and rescue crews are looking for the body of a Nunavut man who managed to open a door on a pressurized King Air 100 flying at 23,000 feet and jump out on Wednesday. The door went with the reportedly distraught man, despite the best efforts of the crew to prevent the suicide. The incident occurred on a flight between Yellowknife, Yukon, to Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. "Due to the diligence and quick reactions of the pilots , the aircraft was brought to a safe landing at the CYCB (Cambridge Bay) airport without injury to the crew or remaining passenger," the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said in a news release.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Amelia Earhart is back at Purdue University. A bronze statue of the famed aviator and women's advocate was unveiled Thursday in front of the residence hall bearing her name. Earhart, the first woman to pilot an airplane across the Atlantic, worked at Purdue from 1935 to 1937 as a career counselor for female students and as a technical adviser to the Department of Aeronautics.
