CAL AERO FIELD HISTORY AT CHINO - STEARMAN PT-17 KAYDET


LIVING HISTORY FLYING DAY AT PLANES OF FAME AIR MUSEUM PRESENTS CAL AERO FIELD HISTORY AT CHINO AIRPORT AND A STEARMAN PT-17 KAYDET FLIGHT FORMATION!

WHO: James Atherton – Cal Aero Academy ground and flight instructor. Delivery pilot of all the pursuit aircraft of WWII.
Sandy Ross – Cal Aero Academy student graduate and past president of the P-47 Pilots Association.
Planes of Fame Air Museum historians and authors

WHAT: We present eyewitness accounts and a discussion panel of experts followed by a flight demonstration featuring Stearmans flying in formation overhead. Museum members are entered into a raffle for a flight in our Stearman. POF Airshow 2009 logo t-shirts will be available for pre-purchase in the gift shop!

WHY: The final event, Cal Aero Field History, leading up to Planes of Fame Airshow 2009 on May 16 – 17, continues our ongoing commitment to restore, display, and fly historically significant aircraft for the public.

On the first Saturday of every month Planes of Fame Air Museum, a 501(c)(3), hosts a Living History Flying Day featuring an aircraft from our extensive WWII flyable collection in order to educate and inspire current and future generations.
