Planes of Fame: Space Day

PLANES OF FAME AIR MUSEUM

is proud to present

“SPACE DAY”

We bring the adventure of space to you!

WHO:      Traveling Space Museum’s many interactive attractions include the only full–motion flight simulator and the only jet aircraft to visit schools and museums regularly.  The brainchild of TSM’s president, Ivor Dawson in 1998, a "Space Day" combines the interactivity of a space camp and the thrill of a theme park and, in effect, brings the space museum field trip to your community.

WHAT:   "Space Day" is the award-winning program presented by the TSM that brings full–scale and interactive space themed exhibits to you. Ten or more different exhibits will be set up specializing in the use of full–scale simulators as teaching tools including theOdyssey IV Mobile SpaceLab and Orion Shuttle.  Since 1998 TSM has thrilled children and adults of all ages presenting this program all across the country.

   WHEN:   Saturday, July 25, 2009; all day 9:00 am – 5:00 pm!

WHERE:

Planes of Fame Air Museum

7000 Merrill Avenue

Chino, CA 91710

WHY:     Interactivity is key as all are invited to climb in and work real hardware that an astronaut would use. Inside the simulators, they are completely immersed in the experience.  The exhibits are as much fun to see as they are to operate.  TSM is the winner of the California Space Authority’s "2008 Buzz Aldrin Education and Workforce Award."  Besides, who among us doesn’t want to be an astronaut when they grow up?

Planes of Fame Air Museum, a 501(c)(3), hosts special events for the public on aviation history and science in an ongoing effort to educate and inspire current and future generations.  For more information, please view our website at www.planesoffame.org
