Blue Ash Airport Days –- 1997-2009
It is with great disappointment, that the producers of Blue Ash Airport Days announce the canceling of the airshow scheduled for September 12- 13.
Cheryl Popp, the show producer for 12 years said," We have been caught in the perfect storm…literally. We had a hurricane in Ohio last year that greatly reduced our paid attendance, necessary ramp space to accommodate the event was not available this year, some of the airport property has been sold and the reconfiguration construction schedule is unknown and the failing economy had greatly reduced our sponsorship possibilities. "
The airshow may continue after this hiatus, but the reconfiguration of the airport may ultimately decide if we can continue. "The City of Blue Ash and Cincinnati has been supportive of the airshow since 1997. We are a quality, small show going out of business with money in the bank!" said Tom Popp. We have been praised by the FAA on our organization and there are a team of committee members and volunteers waiting to announce that we are back in business. We hope to continue our mission of educating the public about aviation, producing a quality community event and donating to charity. " said Popp.
