| | Friday, June 25 is the annual King County Fire Department Kid's Day. On this day, kids of all ages can view fire equipment on display and meet the men and women who serve them. Event will be held in the Museum's parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is FREE to the public. The Collings Foundation's "Wings of Freedom" Tour lands at the Museum on Friday, June 25. For a nominal fee, visitors can tour a Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress or a Consolidated B-24J Liberator. Flight experiences are also available for a donation. For flight reservations call 800.568.8924 or visit collingsfoundation.org. The Wings of Freedom Tour will be at the Museum through Sunday, June 25. The Museum's second annual Spirit of Flight juried photography exhibition opens to the public on Saturday, June 26. Wings of Freedom WWII Bomber Tour Friday, Saturday, Sunday, June 25 - 28, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Join the Museum as the Collings Foundation's "Wings of Freedom" Tour lands at Boeing Field, providing Museum visitors the unique chance to experience both of the American heavy bombers that helped win World War II. Flights and ground tours are available on the Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress and the Consolidated B-24J Liberator. Flight training is offered in a P-51C Mustang. Join members of Skyway Post 9430 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars on our nation's 233rd birthday for a salute to the American flag--all 27 versions that have officially represented the United States over the years. Spanning the Golden Age of Aviation, World War II, and other international conflicts, and higlighting contemporary female pilots, aerobats, engineers and astronauts, Chasing Horizons explores the accomplishments of women who changed the field of flight. The exhibit will feature fascinating images, videos and interactive presentations, as well as women's uniforms from industrial, military, commercial, and sport aviation. Tip-to-Tail Tour: Blue Angel A-4 Sunday, July 18, 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., Great Gallery Join Museum Docents for an in-depth look at the Museum's amazing A-4, one our Museum's visitors' favorite jets. Before we had the Seahawks, Sounder or Mariners, we had the Hydros! In the early 1950s, unlimited hydroplane racing burst on to the scene as Seattle's first professional sport.
