It is now used by Air Service Berlin, providing tourist tours above the city. A statement from the airport authorities said it “had to make an emergency landing after take-off for unknown reasons.”
It landed in a field near Berlin’s Schönefeld Airport carrying 25 passengers and three crew members. Those who were injured are not said to be seriously hurt.

Wayne J. Noall, of Westfield Center, Ohio, was traveling from the Akron-Canton Airport to the Beach City Airport just before 9 a.m., when the 1943 Taylor Craft L2 plane lost oil pressure and engine speed. Noall, who was later treated and released from Aultman Hospital, attempted to return to the Akron Canton Airport after going off radar five miles south of the airport, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol.
