See footage from seven different perspectives on the plane, as well as from the ground. We've been told by the production team that promos for the series should begin in the next week or two and our episode is "one of the network's favorite shows so far, so it'll be on a bunch of times." "Intersections will entertain and inform while giving techno?geeks, motor heads and story lovers of all kinds the “ah ha” moments they crave about their favorite pastime, speed. In order to do this the show looks to intersect an intricate series of events that must come together to avoid disaster. While danger is not glorified, each episode does clearly explore the stakes involved when man meets machine. " Other aviation-related episodes will feature an F/A-18 Super Hornet, a KC135 Stratotanker (refueling a squadron of F-22s), a 747 Evergreen Firefighting plane, a USCG HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter, the Space Shuttle Crawler, and air show/air race favorite Mike Goulian. | | | | Success at CFB Borden The organizers of the Borden Canadian Forces Day & Air Show declared record numbers at their event the weekend of June 5 & 6, despite challenging weather conditions. We can't begin to describe how pleased we were to be a part of this show and are very happy to receive the comment from Major Rick Kurtzer (Chairperson), "you certainly exceeded our expectations." This show marked the debut of our new comedy act in which Jenny loses her skirt on the N-strut pass to reveal her best airshow bloomers - in this case, a beautiful pair of red & silver drawers in honor of Canada! | | | | Meet American Barnstormer - Team Stewart... The latest addition to the American Barnstormer family of acts. The Stewart family has a colorful history of barnstorming, with Emerson "Red" Stewart, Sr., being the founder of Red Stewart Airfield in Waynesville, OH. Red sought to establish the grass field in the mid-1940s after his employer at Frigidaire no longer allowed him to fly and land his Piper Cub in the parking lot at work. His oldest son, Emerson "Cub" Stewart, Jr., is an accomplished pilot with more than 10,000 hours logged, mostly in taildraggers. Additionally, Cub is an Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic (now Aviation Maintenance Technician, AMT) and Airworthiness Inspector, with a specialization in older style fabric covered airplanes. He was voted AMT of the year for the whole country in 1991. American Barnstormer is pleased to announce that Cub Stewart is the pilot for our sister team with his 220hp Stearman gracing the skies with one or two ladies walking the wings. Kimmy Stewart is Cub's daughter-in-law (married to airshow pilot Emerson Stewart III, Cub's son) and is also an experienced pilot herself. Ashley Ryerson has worked as part of the airfield's office staff for a few years and is a beginner pilot. Their act features an up-close and personal performance highlighting the movements of the ladies - it's all about the wing walking! And keep your eyes open for the brand new version of Double Trouble - Team Pierce and Team Stewart are training together to bring you another unique performance for your airshow. Our website should be completely updated to reflect these additions by mid-September. | | |
