Indy Air Show 2010 Sunday photos - Examiner [photo Pat Lovell]
The 2010 Indy Air Show was canceled Saturday due to rain and parking issues. This was the first time in over 15 years that the officials at Mt. Comfort airport had to cancel the show completely for a day. The rain held off on Sunday and the show was a huge success.
Under cloudy but blue skies, the air teams and pilots were able to put on a show for thousands of fans. Fans saw many different types of aircraft today from a single winged plane from 1923 up to an F class F-18. Among the main attractions at the 14th annual air show, which raises money for children’s charities through the Central Indiana Community Foundation, is the Horsemen Aerobatic Team, the world’s only team that flies three authentic P-51 Mustang fighter planes that served in World War II and changed the course of history.
