The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will be at CFB Trenton July 4 & 5. Bummer. Organizers of the first armed forces day in years at CFB Trenton say it won’t be as big as the Quinte Internation Air Shows everyone drooled over. Southwest And The Swimsuit Model from Things with Wings by Andrew Compart
Southwest today unveiled an aircraft, dubbed SI One, that is wrapped with a temporary decal featuring the bikini-clad cover model from the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. It's a particularly big deal for SI, which is attempting a new market initiative to reinvigorate its annual swimsuit issue. It's not quite a radical departure for Southwest, however (although it did use both its blog and a mystery-clad run-up on Twitter to promote it). Southwest loves to adorn its planes in different ways. I'll also attach a couple of those below, and you can see a bunch more of its "specialty aircraft" here.
