The pilots Valkaria Airport are busy planning the 3rd Annual Valkaria Air Fest to take place on February 21, 2009. All ready planned are an Aerobatic Air Show, formation flying demonstrations, many planes on static display, including a B-25,, visits by original Tuskeegee Airmen, lots of good food, a Kidz Korner, radio controlled plane display, a rocketry display, a Classic car meet, a motorcycle meet, and lots more. Hours will be 8 am to 6:30 pm. Aerobatics and Air shows. See beautiful aerobatics and other aerial demonstrations! Featured performances by Aeroshell's Gene McNeely, John Black, Skydive Sebastian, High-Performance Flybys of a P-51 Mustang and Midget Mustang Racing Aircraft and other events. As we confirnm this year's performers, they will be posted on our web page Static Aircraft Displays. See aircraft of all types up close! A B25, P-51 Mustang, Ultralights, Homebuilts, Warbirds, Gyrocopters, Powered Parachutes, Helicopters, Hang Gliders, Hot-Air Balloons, Biplanes, Aerobatic Planes, Sailplanes, Racers, General Aviation aircraft. History Hangar There will be several original members of the Tuskeegee Airmen in the hangar to tell about their history. Pilot Hiram Mann will be there and will be going for a flight in the P51, the same type plane that he flew in WW2. Flying Ace Lee Archer is hoping to be there, if he can fit it in his schedule. Originally there were 15000 Tuskeegee Airmen, 994 pilots, of which 450 were combat pilots. Currently there are only 119 of these valiant pilots still living. There will also be other WW2 pilots on hand to tell their stories. Winston Scott, retired astronaut, will bring us into the 21st Century with the story of his flights into space. Special Auction Want to take a one way flight from Valkaria Airport to Space Coast Regional Airport in the cockpit of the B-25? Only 2 seats are available. Bidding closes on Feb 9th. The flight will leave Valkaria Airport around 4pm on Feb 21st. Airplane rides There will be several planes a T-6, a Stearman PT-17 and helicopters R-44 offering rides for nominal fees. Food, Food, Food Many vendors will be offering good food of all varieties at reasonable prices. Antique and Classic Cars, Motorcycles, Kidz Korner, Souvenirs, Rocketry Demonstrations, Admission: Ages 0 -7 Free, 8-16 - $7, 17+ $10 at the gate; advance prices 0, $5, $8 respectively.
