Bryan Regan stands in for Aeroshell team from AOPA Pilot Blog: Reporting Points by Al Marsh
The formation biplane Aeroshell team will have a new temporary leader, Bryan Regan, who is standing in for Alan Henley, founder and leader of the Aeroshell team. Henley was injured in an accident at his home last summer. In this
video, which I personally shot, you can see Regan briefing the Red Barons a few months before that team was disbanded by the sponsor. He leads a rehearsal and then leads them through a loop. Be warned, this is noisy, unrestrained engine and air blast noise. Get that volume down if you are in the office. Explanation: Regan waits to feel the lift from air off the accelerating airplane beneath him as his signal to start the loop. If the slot airplane, the one I was in, does not accelerate, it will finish behind the team because it is on the outside of the loop and must travel farther. You’ll see us rush beneath Regan as the group dives to gather speed for the loop. The air off the top wing lifts Regan, signaling our presence.

The 2008 Reno National Championship Air races and Air Show was marked with the celebration of 45 years of air racing. The week of qualifying and racing was under perfect weather conditions which helped not only the teams, but drew the fans as well. Most of the people and families that come to enjoy the thrill of racing will find the bleachers a great view. The other great experience is being in the pits while crews work on the planes between heats.

Father & son take to the air from Air Force Link Top Stories by - It's not every day a father gets to dogfight against his son in a high-performance fighter aircraft, 20,000 feet over the Pacific Ocean. It's even rarer when the aircraft being flown by the son is the same tail number that the father flew almost thirty years earlier. That's exactly what happened Sept. 4 however when Lt. Gen. David A. Deptula, the Air Force deputy chief of staff for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance visited Kadena Air Base and had the opportunity to take to the air in an F-15C Eagle along with his son, Capt. David Deptula. more...

Katie said she wanted a plane that really would
