 Great Gallery

Happy New Year! The Museum has many great programs scheduled for 2010. Check out www.museumofflight.org/calendar to see what's on the radar.

This weekend at the Museum, Museum volunteer and retired Boeing engineer Bob Bogash discusses the Lockheed Super G Constellation. With its curvaceous fuselage and triple tail, the Lockheed Super G Constellation is one of the most distinctive airliners in history. The Museum took delivery of its rare "Connie" in September 2009. The story of this aircraft will be told in a Jan. 9 program by Bogash, who was instrumental in the plane's acquisition, restoration and transportation to the Museum. The presentation will be illustrated with previously unpublished photographs. Randomly selected members of the audience will be chosen for an exclusive tour of the aircraft on Jan. 16. The program is at 2 p.m. in the William M. Allen Theater.

On Saturday, Jan. 9 and Sunday, Jan. 10 at 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., families can learn about the Saturn 5 and its successful missions to the moon, then build their very own Saturn V rocket model during the Bank of America Weekend Family Workshop--Saturn V: Rocket to the Moon!

Hops & Props will be held on Saturday, April 24 from 7-10 p.m. Tickets are $55 for Museum members, $70 for general admission and $30 for designated drivers. Tickets will be available at the Museum Store and on museumofflightstore.org beginning Friday, Jan. 8. This is a very popular event and tickets sell out fast so be sure to purchase your tickets soon!

 Dream, Discover, Soar!

Sincerely,

The Museum of Flight
