Red Bull's return from www.windsorstar.com
Picture it. As many as 200 corporate and private planes lined up at Windsor Airport. Luxury hotel rooms and local restaurants filled to capacity. Jet-setters from around the world descending on Windsor.
It's no pipe dream, thanks to a two-year commitment from Red Bull to return to the city this year and next. The decision was facilitated in large part by Ontario's pledge of $10 million toward the event, and that's because MPPs Dwight Duncan and Sandra Pupatello clearly understand the race's importance to Windsor and the province.
There's the enormous economic impact, to be sure. But there's also the "wow" factor; the glitz and glamour that come from having more than one billion viewers around the world tune in to see our fair city. ...

With a growing haul of silverware from his impressive flying achievements, the trophy cabinet at the Bonhomme residence must be getting full. ...
Another key role model for the young Bonhomme was an aerobatic pilot called Richard Goode – a man well known in UK aerobatic circles and who later became an important mentor for Bonhomme. "Certainly without Richard's influence I would not have progressed in the aerobatic world nearly as quickly," admitted Bonhomme, who often says being in the right place at the right time has been a major factor in his success. "Richard asked me to display his Pitts at the World Aerobatic Championship in 1986 when the wind was too ...

Profile 39 - B25 H S/N 43-4267 from WWII Fighter Plane Profiles
It's done - the airplane with a Sherman tank cannon in the nose. The Beast. At least that's what I call it. And it looks beastly too, with that gritty, oil-stained paint job and utilitarian markings.
The accuracy of those markings is still somewhat in question, specifically if the serial number appeared on the tail or not. I have a fair number of 22nd BS photographs and the only shown marks were the squadron logo (a diving eagle clutching a bomb in its talons) and the regular American insignia. However, I am awaiting another source and I may have to add mission tallies and ...
