2010 is Here from Windsor International Air Show by Century of Flight - We're getting ready to prepare the Windsor Airport for an all out assault this year. You can expect a bigger, louder and more intense show. We have some regulars coming back and of course our Snowbirds are ready and more than anxious to get back in the air over Windsor. In the next month we will be making some announcements as to who is coming and how you can get involved in this community project. We want and need local vendors and suppliers to get involved as we are promoting our area all across North America. We can only make this show one way, big.

Sky's the limit for women gliders - The annual week of women's gliding for 2010 was held in Narromine from January 16 to 23, and was a great success despite the challenging conditions the recent weather created for the gliders. The numbers of women participating in the gliding event were up in comparison to other years. "This year there were about 30 people taking part, the majority of whom are women of all ages and levels of gliding ability," organiser of the week Leonie Furze said. "Those taking part in the gliding meet have brought their own gliders to Narromine, or hired from their clubs and Narromine's club."

Unlicensed 74 Years Old Pilot Has Landed In Trouble from AvStop - Teddy Ernest Mayfield a 74 years old Oregon man, who some believe is D. B. Cooper, the man who November 24, 1971, hijacked a Northwest Orient Boeing 727 aircraft that extorted $200,000 from its owner. Leaped from the airborne 727 with 21 pounds of $20 bills strapped to his torso and has never been found. Has once again, violated FAA regulations when he piloted his single engine airplane from Eugene Airport to Independence Airport on June 19, 2008, without being properly licensed. Mayfield Has a long history of FAA violations and a criminal past that includes armed robbery and stealing and aircraft and flying it across state lines.
