The Mohawk Pilots Are Coming to Chino!

· CHINO, CA - PLANES OF FAME AIR MUSEUM PROUDLY PRESENTS LIVING HISTORY FLYING DAY FEATURING VIETNAM OBSERVATION WITH OUR OV-1 MOHAWK RESTORATION NEAR COMPLETE.




WHO:
Robert "Whale" Boyd - Standardization instructor pilot with over 2500 hours in OV-1 Mohawk.
Frank Stookey - Infrared Platoon Commander in the Mekong Delta based at Can Tho, Viet Nam.
Paul Reed - Ret. US Army Col. Army Aerial Surveillance Officer. Army Photo Interpretation Center Chief. Provided assignments for the two Mohawk Companies in Viet Nam.
David Olney - Executive Director of the OV-1 Mohawk Association.
Eugene Rossel - Ret. LTC US Air Force. Based at Bien Hoa, Viet Nam as Airborne and Ground Communications Officer.

WHAT:
We present eyewitness accounts and a discussion panel of experts, all OV-1 Mohawk pilots, followed by a question and answer period. Museum members are entered into a raffle for a flight in our L-19 Birddog following the presentation!

WHY:
The Planes of Fame Air Museum's OV-1 Mohawk is very near completion of its three-year restoration and is expected to fly soon.

On the first Saturday of every month Planes of Fame Air Museum, a 501(c)(3), hosts a Flying Day featuring an historically significant aircraft from our extensive WWII flyable collection. We present an expert panel discussion culminating in a flight demonstration. Planes of Fame Air Museum restores, displays, and flies aircraft to educate and inspire current and future generations.
