Airport board retains name but honors hero from IndyStar.com Business Headlines

Airport Terminal named for Weir Cook from The Digital Farmers Blog by Sir Hailstone
According to the IndyStar, the Airport Authority upon debating the City-County Council resolution presented to them has decided not to rename the entire airport "Weir Cook Airport" as it was in the "old days" but rather rename the main terminal "Weir Cook Terminal at Indianapolis International Airport" and one of the airport roads to be named "Weir Cook Drive". That's a doable and a fitting honor for one who, in my opinion, was slighted by having his name removed from the Airport in the first place.
