Aeroshell Team Lead Determined To Battle Back from AVwebFlash Current Issue
The condition of Aeroshell Team Lead Alan Henley is guarded after several surgeries and some deterioration of his general health since his fall from a chinning bar last Tuesday. In a blog posted on the Aeroshell Web site last night, his wife Jennifer says that while the affable team lead is determined to beat the partial paralysis that resulted from the broken vertebrae in his neck, he’s facing immediate surgery to prevent blood clots from entering his lungs and heart. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is determined to go on with their shows at EAA AirVenture next week and that includes the practice flight with a lucky winner from AVweb in the rear seat of one of the beautiful T-6s.

A new Experience for an older pilot from Pilots of America Message Board by John J
AirVenture will be a whole new experience for me and my bride. I have been there twice before as a guest and enthusiast. This time we are going as Participants for the event. We have been invited to participate as authors at the Author's Corner for AirVenture. We wrote a book called "John The Airport Kid".It is more than overwhelming to me for as a writer and a shy person with so much passion for flying for almost 50 years this will be a very scary but so positive time for me and my bride. We will be in the company of folks that one can dream about. It will quite a week for both of us. AirVenture is a reall nice place to hang out on the Tarmac and enjoy the sites, noise and smells of oil and ave gass. I hope to see those that can come there. Thank you for reading.

I can almost taste the beer and brats now from Pilot Brad's Flying Blog by pilotbrad
It’s Friday afternoon and I am finishing up a few last things at work before I leave for my vacation. Where am I going? To AirVenture of course!!! Every minute that ticks by I can feel myself getting more and more excited. On Monday I fly to Illinois and hook up with my friend and fellow RV-7 builder Chad. Then on Tuesday Chad, I and another RV-7 builder Larry hit the road bound for Oshkosh where we will be camping in Camp Scholler with about 5 more of our RV building brothers. There is a lot of excitement amongst the group and it looks like this turn up to be the best AirVenture yet.
