Hello to all of our friends ~ we hope that this message finds things going well for you. All is fine here. This will be a short message but has some really exciting news about our progress on the flyable WACO CG-4A glider and eShareThis.com. Enjoy.
We are now moved into our new ‘digs’ – a beautiful hangar at Fla-bob Airport which has been provided by Consolidated Aircraft Coatings – Poly-Fiber. Consolidated’s President Jon Goldenbaum arranged for the ‘heavy’ equipment and manpower necessary to make our move as comfortable as possible. No problems were encountered and all parts / pieces were moved over the last weekend. You can view the new hangar on our sharing web site at New Hangar at Fla-bob. With this new location we will be even more accessible for those who want to visit our project and who want to assist with the rebuild of the CG-4A glider.
The next important news is the progress being made on the cockpit nose ‘chin’ section by DreamFlight member Dick Smith. I am working with a new ‘avenue’ for presenting multiple pictures thru SnapFish. You can view the progress of this important part of the rebuild at Nose 'chin' Rebuild Progress 7-16-08 2 .
As I mentioned in my last up-date, we are receiving tremendous support for our project. We need your involvement as best you can to help make this one-of-a-kind FLYING WACO CG-4A glider come together. We are accepting donations of cash, airplanes or ?? thru our 501(c)(3) foundation THE WW II ALLIED GLIDER CORPS COMMEMORATIVE FOUNDATION that will assist us in bringing the story of the Glider Corps and this flying CG-4A glider to the public. Please send your contributions to: WW II Allied Glider Corps Program, 24611 Spadra Lane, Mission Viejo, CA 92691. You will receive a letter specifying your contribution for your tax records.
If you want to donate / contribute specific items (airplane, memorabilia, etc.) please contact me at dreamflight@sprynet.com or call me anytime (California, PDT) at 949 472 9612. We appreciate all of your support.
One last item: be sure to visit our web site at www.esharethis.com to see what is being shared among friends, family and associates from around the world. You will find the ‘latest’ in many fascinating categories. One especially great item can be seen at I am Without Words ... I only wish that I had the courage that this father / son have shown. As always, there are many, many more items of interest that can be found at www.esharethis.com for your enjoyment. Please remember to send us your forwards so that we can share them with others from around the world.
Again, thanks for all of your support and encouragement for our WW II Glider Corps Program. We simply cannot give enough thanks to ALL of our service men and women who have given so much which allows us to live in our great country. We hope that by this project we can ‘give back’ just a little. Please forward this message to you friends that will enjoy the WW II Glider Program and www.esharethis.com .
Best … John & Betty and all the DreamFlight Members and the WW II Glider Corps Program
