INDIANAPOLIS » ATA Airlines, the Indianapolis-based carrier liquidating in bankruptcy court, won a judge's approval to hold auctions in September of assets including spare aircraft parts. The auctions will take place in Dallas on Sept. 4 and 5 and in Chicago on Sept. 10 and 11, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Basil Lorch ruled this week. The date of an auction in Hawaii wasn't specified. Lorch also approved a request for a 210-day extension of ATA's exclusivity period, giving arrier more time to create and propose a required Chapter 11 plan. The new deadline is Feb. 26. If the period expires without a plan, creditors may file competing plans. (Bloomberg)
