Rockford airport to host member of Blue Angels team - Rockford Register Star | A member of the US Navy's Blue Angels flight demonstration team will visit Chicago Rockford International Airport this week. ROCKFORD — Sky watchers may catch a glimpse of an F/A-18 this week when a member of the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels flight demonstration team visits Chicago Rockford International Airport. Airport spokesman Thomas Bona said the airport expects the plane to land early Wednesday afternoon and leave Thursday, part of a routine site visit the team makes in preparation for air shows. The Blue Angels will perform at Rockford AirFest on June 4-5. Bona said tickets are expected to be on sale for the event sometime in December…
