Air race friends pay tribute to pilot who died this year - Reno Gazette-JournalThe Warlock hauler is in its familiar spot in the T-6 pits at the National Championship Air Races, and so is the crew of the plane Al Goss flew in Reno for the past 29 years.
The annual Warlock party, famous among the fliers and crew members, is in the works for Wednesday night.
There were hugs and smiles on Monday, but they were mixed with tears because missing is Goss and the plane, Race No. 75, lost in a fatal crash on March 17 in Bakersfield, Calif. ...

Qualifications have begun.
Ruby and I qualified yesterday - at first, we thought the # was 183.55 - and we were THRILLED. Now it seems they have changed our number online to 176.xx -- we are still thrilled.
