Circumnavigate the African Continent

AirJourney Selects CJP to Announce New Trip
Circumnavigating Africa!

Jupiter, FL – September 2, 2010—Top-tiered aviation travel company AirJourney announced yet another new trip for general aviation pilots who want to fly their own airplanes on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. In August of next year, AirJourney will launch its first 60-day trip around the African continent.  The announcement was made today at the annual Cessna Jet Pilots Convention in Colorado Springs, CO.

“This is one of the most fascinating trips we’ve ever put together,” AirJourney’s Thierry Pouille said.  “There is so much diversity on this trip, from northern Africa all the way down around Cape Town and back.”

The trip departs from Quebec City, Canada on August 26th, returning October 24th, taking in 24 countries along the way. The AirJourney group will cross the Atlantic into Europe then work south toward Africa.  Guests stay 2-4 days in high-end hotel accommodations and enjoy an elaborate list of activities unique to the location.  Stops on the Africa circumnavigation include Prague, Venice, Santorini, Amman, Nairobi, Tanzania, Victoria Falls, Johannesburg, Cape Town, the Ivory Coast, Abidjan, Lisbon, Belfast, Reykjavik and much more.

As with all AirJourney trips, a professional journey director accompanies the group each step of the way.  Virtually everything is prearranged for the pilots, including all weather briefings, route planning and navigational charts, foreign customs, hotels, ground transportation, gourmet meals and a wide range of local activities at each destination.

“The pace of our trips is always leisurely,” Pouille added.  “We want everyone to have time to see the sights, sample the local cuisine, meet the people and still have plenty of free time.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we want to make sure everyone comes home with lots of wonderful memories! ”

AirJourney has been leading escorted pilot adventures for more than a decade and offers a variety of escorted trips that explore North, Central and South America, as well as Europe and the Caribbean.  In July this year, AirJourney welcomed a group of airplanes back home from a 72-day, 25,000 nm trip around the world.  Reservations are being taken now for the 2011 Round the World trip.
