Planes of Fame: Commemorating Pearl Harbor Day

WHO:
Pearl Harbor Survivors Jack Hammett and Dick Higgins. Planes of Fame Air Museum founder and curator Ed Maloney will comment on Zeros still in existence. Historians Frank Mormillo and Kevin Thompson provide historical overviews.

WHAT:
We present expert speakers and a slideshow presentation followed by a question and answer period. Also on display will be the Zero-inspired chopper “Harbor Bomber” as seen on the History Channel show Chopper Wars. Members are entered into a raffle for a flight Zero Chopper following the presentation!

WHY:
Planes of Fame Air Museum continues to remember Pearl Harbor and its survivors by flying for the public the world’s only original flying Zero every year at this time in December.


On the first Saturday of every month Planes of Fame Air Museum, a 501(c)(3), hosts a Living History Flying Day featuring an aircraft from our extensive historical collection in order to educate and inspire current and future generations to our aviation history.
