Flight Plans Banner

 Great Gallery

 Greetings!

The Museum has many great family activities planned during Winter Break. First, join us for daily aviation and space-themed activities during Winter Break Blast-Off!, Dec. 26 - 31. Gliders, helicopters or rockets--what will it be? Find out each day from Noon - 3 p.m.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be a pilot or an astronaut? Here is your chance! The Museum is offering public missions in our flight and space simulations--the Challenger Learning Center, on Tuesday, Dec. 29 and the Aviation Learning Center, on Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 1 - 3 p.m. Sessions are for participants ages 10 and up--under 16 years of age requires adult supervision. There is a $10 fee/participant (non-participating adults are free). Cost does not include regular Museum admission. Pre-registration is required--please call 206.764.1384 to register at least five days in advance. Participants needing to cancel may do so up to five days before the program date. After that, the full program fee will be charged.

Please note: Programs require a minimum amount of participants to operate. You will be notified in the event of any cancellation. For further information, please call 206.764.1384.

On Saturday, Dec. 26, join Seattle authors Ed Davies and Steve Ellis as they present a program based upon their new book, "Seattle Commercial Aviation 1908 - 1941." The program draws from hundreds of photographs gathered for the book, which illustrates the early days beginning with dirigible flights, the first Seattle aircraft builders, the arrival of commercial airmail and the airlines. The program begins at 2 p.m. in the William M. Allen Theater and a book signing will follow.

 Dream, Discover, Soar!
 Sincerely,

The Museum of Flight
