· CHINO, CA - PLANES OF FAME PROUDLY PRESENTS LIVING HISTORY FLYING DAY FEATURING CARRIER AIR WAR IN THE PACIFIC AND FLYING THE F6F HELLCAT

WHO:
US NAVY HELLCAT ACES OF WWII:
Commander Bill Hardy - 6.5 victories. Flew from the USS Hornet. Downed four Japanese planes in a day making his first night-time deck anding.
Lt. Commander Fred Dungan - 7 victories. Flew from the USS Hornet and USS Yorktown. Credited with four victories in one day.
Lt. Commander Jim Duffy - 5 victories. Flew from the USS Essex. Shot down an "Oscar" over Luzon in the Philippines.
Commander Dean Laird - 5.75 victories. Flew off the USS Bunker Hill and assigned to the "Red Rippers" aboard the USS Essex. Shot down both German and Japanese aircraft.

WHAT:
Open to the public, we present eyewitness speakers followed by a question and answer period and flight demonstration. Members are entered into a raffle for a flight following the presentation!

We present an expert panel discussion culminating in a flight demonstration. Planes of Fame Air Museum restores, displays, and flies aircraft to educate and inspire current and future generations.
