Hiller Aviation Museum Air Show Events June 19-21 It's air show time at the Hiller Aviation Museum ! Join us for three distinctly different events on June 19th, 20th and 21st as we celebrate the amazing world of vertical flight with flight demonstrations, static displays, and other unique aviation experiences. Wild Brew Yonder Friday Evening June 19 6pm-9pm Welcome to Wild Brew Yonder - Twilight Helicopter Air Show and Microbrew Fest. Wild Brew Yonder is a rare and exclusive opportunity to enjoy the products of three local microbrewers: Firehouse Brewery, Steelhead Brewery and Devil's Canyon Brewery. You may enjoy a scrumptious BBQ dinner (purchased separately) while watching a spectacular twilight helicopter show. This is your chance for a private sneak peek at some of the aircraft performing at Vertical Challenge the next day, including the fully aerobatic Red Bull helicopter and an evening demonstration of the Go Fast Jet Pack. Wild Brew Yonder tickets are $25 per person ($20 for museum members) including the microbrew beer festival and twilight air show. Vertical Challenge Helicopter Air Show Saturday, June 20 9am-5pm What do an upside-down helicopter, a jet pack and a Zeppelin all have in common? You can see them all in the air over the Hiller Aviation Museum at the Vertical Challenge air show on Saturday, June 20th! Chuck Aaron and the Red Bull high performance aerobatic helicopter will fly sideways, backwards and yes, UPSIDE DOWN! The only helicopter in the United States certified to perform aerobatics will make its exclusive Northern California air show stop for the season on June 20th at the Vertical Challenge Helicopter Air Show at the Hiller Aviation Museum on the Peninsula in San Carlos. Vertical Challenge will also feature aerial demonstrations from the U.S. Coast Guard, Cal Fire, the California Highway Patrol, and the largest Zeppelin in the world. Accomplished hang glider pilot Dan Buchanan will present a dramatic demonstration of soaring flight, and the record-setting Go Fast Jet Pack will launch in a rare Bay Area flight. Vertical Challenge also provides a great opportunity for helicopter rides (additional fee required). Helicopter rides at Vertical Challenge are a terrific value and are expected to sell out quickly. Vertical Challenge welcomes returning sponsors Bell Helicopter and Toyota 101 as well as Red Bull with their fully aerobatic Eurocopter/MBB BO-105 helicopter and the Red Bull Elite Flying Parachute Team. Military Helicopter Day Sunday June 21 10am-2pm The men and women of our armed services are proud to display their helicopters as part of Vertical Challenge weekend, and these leviathans of the air will remain open to the public through Sunday, June 21st. Military Helicopter Day is one last opportunity to see these aircraft up close and meet the aviators who fly them. Throughout the day, these powerful birds will take to the air as they depart to return to their home bases. Military Helicopter Day is included with regular museum admission.
