Flying with food glorious food

It was not so long ago that to sample some exotic dishes one had to travel to far away places where the food also had the strange sounding names.Today, travel, migration and the amazing progress of the aviation industry has brought those exotic dishes right to our doorsteps and you will be able to tempt your appetites soon when the aviation industry is celebrated in Bundaberg.

From the 3rd to the 5th July those magnificent men in their flying machines will be barnstorming Bundaberg Airport when the largest aviation spectacular of its kind in Australia takes place. The Wide Bay Australia International Airshow brings the cream of aviation professionals to show off their wares to all, from the aviation addict to the keen amateur and those of us who just love watching aircraft of all types.

Yummy foods will live up to their name with a vast array of food to tempt even the most world-weary palate. Take a gourmet journey around the planet without leaving the Airshow and sample Turkish Kebabs, Hungarian cuisine, Malaysian Satay, Spanish Tapas, Italian wood fired pizzas and Indian curries to name just a few. For the diet conscious they have gluten free and vegetarian food. You can have potatoes from baked to chipped and a whole lot in between.

Deserts? A vast array of ice creams, divine doughnuts, Dutch Poffertjes and a host of mouth watering delights awaits you, just bring your appetite!

This will be the biggest multi-cultural food extravaganza you have ever tasted or been tempted by. Worth going to the airshow just for the food but hey, just watch those stunt pilots fly the Hunter and the Mig sorties. It’s the only restaurant around town where you’ll see that sort of action!
