Airshow captures benefits for North Burnett

The skies over Bundaberg will be rocking with activity when the largest general aviation Airshow in Australia is held over the weekend of 3-4-5 July 2009. Many of the thousands attracted to the show, including interstate and international visitors, will be visiting our region for the very first time and the flow on effect will have numerous benefits for the adjacent centres throughout the Wide Bay and North Burnett Regions.

The Wide Bay Australia International Airshow is poised to become the Oshkosh of Australia and firmly place Bundaberg on the international aviation show schedule bringing much kudos and revenue to our area.

Vintage fighter aircraft will be soaring in mock battles above the airfield, providing those keen lensmen the opportunity to take some memorable photographs. The new Australian built GA 28 Airvan will also be here for inspection. Just like the popularity and usefulness of the “ute” to motoring, so is the Airvan to aviation, especially farmers. RAAF fighters and the famous Hawker Hunter will also be at the show providing eye popping thrills for all.

From joy flights in fighter aircraft to hot air balloons and careers in aviation, these just some of the experiences visitors may expect. Accommodation is full in Bundaberg so expect to see a large flow on of visitors in our adjacent regions. Plan now and be ready for the greatest tourist attraction ever to be held in South East Queensland
