Andrew Gees is typical of many of the people who have volunteered their time and expertise to work on making the Wide Bay Australia International Airshow the most successful ever.
Proud to be a Bundabergian, Andrew has spent a number of years in high profile positions in the public service. His area of expertise includes quality control and management which stands him in good stead for his position of Field Manager which has very diverse requirement for a variety of skills and challenges.
Andrew also brings his Army Reserve training with him, essential for his task which must run with such military precision.
Another volunteer typical of those who are assisting with the most important and largest event ever to be staged in Bundaberg is Theresa Tilyard, a mother of three children who is moving from casual work to permanent by training with Impact Centre for Learning. She is gaining additional skills in Financial Administration as part of her ongoing training to add to her resume.
All the volunteers can expect great enjoyment from giving their time plus the kudos of being a part of the greatest aerial spectacle that Bundaberg has ever seen.
More volunteers are urgently needed now. No matter what background or skills you have, we can certainly find you a place where giving your expertise will impress any current or future employer, plus the extra skills you learn will add considerably to your resume.
