It's hard to believe 40 years have flown by since the first manned lunar landing. I still remember watching Armstrong step out on the lunar surface on the big black and white cabinet TV that hot summer evening. My Dad was so excited he bought color film and took pictures of the landing. "It's a black and white TV" my Mom said but he didn't care. It was worth the extra cost to him. We've had a few good laughs over that.
It was one of those moments when it seemed everyone in the world was focused on one good thing. I soaked up all this astronaut stuff as a kid. It was great.
