Dayton Air Show: New Performer Pit Row in 2013

…UFC Lightweight Champion Ben Henderson also to appear

Dayton, Ohio – For the first time in show history, spectators will see all the performing up-close in the new Performer Pit Row. The Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger will take place on June 22nd and 23rd at the Dayton International Airport. Also confirmed for the 39th annual event, UFC Lightweight Champion, Ben Henderson, will appear at the U.S. Air Force Reserve booth on Saturday, June 22nd.

Unlike prior years when performer aircraft were parked in restricted areas in front of the fence line, the Performer Pit Row will be in the center of show grounds with easy access for spectators. Aircraft will be secured with volunteer plane captains, and the new area will not only permit closer viewing of the performing aircraft, but will also give air show fans the chance to see the stars of the show as well.

The Air Force Reserve is thrilled to host Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight champion, Ben Henderson at their display on show grounds on Saturday, June 22nd. From 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., the #1 ranked lightweight fighter in the world, Ben “Smooth” Henderson, will be available to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

“The Performer Pit Row and Ben Henderson are two more reasons to come to an awesome show this year," stated Michael Emoff, United States Air and Trade Show Board of Trustees Chairman. "We have terrific performers in the air and a wonderful variety of ground displays. Once again the Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger will provide great entertainment for families," he added.
