Pulling G's over the Blue Langkawi Sky - New Straits Times | IT was something I had been waiting for, for a long, long time. This year was the sixth time I had covered the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace exhibition (Lima) and I had all the while wanted to be able to fly in one of the aircraft on aerial display. This year, I got my chance, thanks to a lucky draw during a media luncheon hosted by Defence Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.  I wouldn't be flying in a jet, as I had always dreamed about. Instead, it would be a little German-made prop plane, the Extra 300L, which has a top speed of 220 knots....

Avro CF-100 Canuck — Canada’s first and Canada’s last - Travel for Aircraft  A.V. Roe and Company, Avro, gave the world many fine aircraft. Not the least of these aircraft are the Lancaster and Vulcan with their Canadian subsidiary assisting in the manufacturing of many of the aircraft, especially in WW II.  The Canuck is historic for its trend setting, serving as an integral part of the new defense system called NORAD in the 1950s, and was designed for a single purpose — as an interceptor to vie against strategic bombers flying over the Arctic from Russia to targets in Canada and the USA. Flying at high sonic...

Final Flight Col. “Gimo” Yang - Roadrunners Internationale | With deep regret I again must inform you of the passing of one of our Roadrunner members.
