Counting down to the beginning of WOAW Week

In just a little over 7 days, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and the 101st anniversary of the first female pilot license worldwide. Are you ready?

Just today, we added another great prize for pilots who introduce 5 or more girls or women to flying - $150 USD towards a first seaplane flight lesson offered by SeaplaneForum.com. Cool.

So many prizes for the pilots and for the girls and women they introduce. Please use the power of the purse to support all our sponsors who are celebrating with us.

Also, just today, Southern Interior Flight Centre in Kelowna, BC, announced that they are offering a “Free Day on Us” every single day of WOAW Week. Many more events will be added to the already existing events in many countries on several continents. Check the website or our Facebook page often, things are hapening fast.

On the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day, individuals and flight schools around the world will celebrate the Women Of Aviation in a BIG way!

I want to thank you for spreading the word. The website statistics are reflecting your effectiveness. Please keep spreading the word. Together, we will send a powerful message and we will be heard.

Women of Aviation Worldwide Week is a week of awareness and action. As you are getting ready to fly in celebration, don’t forget to involve your local media. Our actions can instill awareness much farther if our message is heard far beyond the airport fence.

Yes, there are trophies. Yes, there are many prizes. Yes, we are going to have fun. However, shaping the face of tomorrow’s aviation industry, one life at a time, is our common goal.

Thank you for your support and your dedication.
