HOOSIER PARK SPONSORS AIR SHOW’S FIRST-EVER MONTE CARLO NIGHT, DONATES $20,000 TO RILEY HOSPITAL FOR CHILDREN
Friday, Aug. 22, charity gaming event open to the public, with proceeds also benefiting Riley

(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Friday, Aug. 22, will mark the first time that the Indianapolis Air Show will host “Monte Carlo Night,” a charity gaming event sponsored by Hoosier Park Racing & Casino, with all proceeds going toward Riley Hospital for Children.

Hoosier Park’s generosity doesn’t stop there, however.

During Monte Carlo Night, Hoosier Park officials will present the Air Show with a donation of $20,000 that will also benefit the hospital.

“Hoosier Park is committed to enhancing the quality of life in Indiana. We are proud to be a major sponsor of the Indianapolis Air Show and share a mutual commitment to the Riley Children’s Hospital,” said Jim Brown, general manager of gaming for Hoosier Park. “This certainly wasn’t a difficult call to make. Riley performs much needed work on behalf of children not only in Indiana, but all over the United States. Their facilities and staff are renowned, and deservedly so.”

“We are thrilled to make this $20,000 donation and partner with the Air Show to put on the first-ever Monte Carlo Night,” added Rick Moore, Hoosier Park’s general manager of racing. “Year in and year out, the Air Show provides great family entertainment that makes a significant impact on the community.”

“This new Monte Carlo Night wouldn’t be possible without Hoosier Park,” said Bob Duncan, chairman of the 2008 Air Show. “Their sponsorship is much appreciated, and their donation is above and beyond what we could have hoped. We cannot say thank you enough.”

Monte Carlo Night, scheduled from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 22, is open to the public, and tickets are $30 per adult. On top of the roulette wheels, blackjack and poker tables, the event will include dinner catered by Mudsocks Grill, live music, and a hot air balloon “glow” at dusk.

The 2008 Indianapolis Air Show, Aug. 22-24 at Mt. Comfort Airport, will feature the U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command F-22A Demonstration Team and U.S. Army’s parachute team, the Golden Knights, as its headlining performers.

Wing walkers, stunt planes, a hot air “balloonathon,” Warbirds and additional military exhibits, such as NASA’s “Journey to Tomorrow” and the Virtual Army Experience, will also be wowing the crowds. And just confirmed for Saturday, Aug. 23: country music recording artist Laura Bryna will wrap up the performances that day with an outdoor concert.

Discounted tickets to the Air Show are available now by going to
www.indyairshow.com, or you can buy them in-person at any Marsh, O’Malia’s or United Package Liquors stores. Active U.S. military personnel will be able to attend the Air Show for FREE with current military identification.

Net proceeds from the Indianapolis Air Show itself are distributed to the Central Indiana Community Foundation. The Indianapolis Air Show has donated more than $1.3 million through CICF to children’s charities since the show’s inception in 1997.
