Wright Bros. Aero Friday Night Live! to kick off Air Show weekend

Dayton, Ohio – The Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger announced today Wright Bros. Aero will host a party this Friday, July 22nd at its Hangar “A” at the Dayton International Airport to welcome performers and crews to Dayton.  The free event is open to the public and will feature live music by the Eyedocs of Rock – Bad Habits.  There will also be a special preview of the weekend’s air show including demonstrations by the US Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II, Melissa Pemberton and a flyby arrival by two US Navy F-18 Super Hornet fighters.  Also appearing will be a special Night Pyro Jump by the US Army Golden Knights, and a fiery night run by the School Time Jet Bus.

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. and run until 11 p.m.  Ice cold beverages will be on tap and delicious LaRosa’s pizza will be available by the slice.  To get there, simply turn left on to McCauley Drive off North Dixie Drive and proceed to the entry gate at the end of McCauley.  Parking is available in lots or field areas near the hangars and is also free.  The address is 3700 McCauley Drive, Vandalia, Ohio.  For a detailed map, go to the Air Show web site www.daytonairshow.com and click the Friday Night Live! button on the home page.

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the 37th annual Vectren Dayton Air Show Presented by Kroger on July 23rd and 24th.  In addition to the acts performing at Wright Bros Aero Friday Night Live!, the show will also feature Tora Tora Tora, the US Navy F-18 Super Hornet, the Red Bull Helicopter, Tombstone Riders All-Women Wing Walking and Sean D. Tucker.
