Among the performers featured are Kyle and Amanda Franklin, Bobby Younkin, Bob Carlton, the F-15 Strike Eagle Demo Team, and of course a large number of warbirds reenacting the famous battles of World War II, and Vietnam.
The star of the show was the return to the skies of an air show of “FIFI” the world’s only flying B-29 Superfortress. After many long years of work to rebuild the engines, and bring her back to flying condition, the fans in Midland were treated to her first air show in years. Viewers will hear from Dave Miller, FIFI’s Crew Chief, and Charles Chauncey who flew 33 missions in a B-29 during World War II.
This is the first in a series of reports on the October Texas Air Shows from LiveAirShowTV. We were at Wings Over Houston at Ellington Field, and are preparing for the Ft. Worth Alliance Air Show. Watch for those stories coming soon, as well as, expanded stories on FIFI, many of the air show performers, and continuing coverage from the Reno Air Races from September. We are also getting closer to the launch of the new LiveAirShowTV website. Watch for that soon.
