Air show returning to mid-May roots - SC Now | The eighth annual Pee Dee Air Show and Festival returns to its roots this year with the event moving back to its original dates, May 19-20. It will feature a few new acts, too, including six-member Black Diamond squadron, which brings five Aero Vodcchovy L-39s Albatros, a 1960s Soviet combat training jet, and one MiG-17, a Soviet high-subsonic aircraft from the 1950s. The team will perform a variety of stunts at speeds up to 400 mph....
No changes planned for B.C. air show after Reno disaster - Battle Creek Enquirer | Changes are not planned for the air show in Battle Creek this summer despite an accident at an air race in Reno, Nev., last year. "We don't expect any changes to the rules and regulations that govern us as an air show," said Barbara Haluszka, executive director of the Battle Creek Hot Air Balloon Championships Inc., which sponsors the Field of Flight Air Show and Balloon Festival. Fargo Air Museum plans Saturday in the Sky events for kids - Inforum | The Fargo Air Museum will host Saturday in the Sky for Kids from 10 a.m. to noon on Feb. 18, March 3 and 10. The education series, for children ages 8 to 14, looks at different factors in flying. The first event on Feb. 18 is titled “It’s All about the Weather” and teaches about atmospheric conditions and how they factor into pilot decisions....
