FLY THE SPACE SHUTTLE: This Shuttle simulator is one of four at the AirZoo. This year marks two milestones for Kalamazoo’s Air Zoo: the 30th anniversary of the Air Zoo opening to the public and the fifth anniversary of the opening of the museum’s main campus. In celebration of these two milestones, the Air Zoo will unveil several new rides and experiences throughout 2009. The first new addition to the Air Zoo’s multi-sensory experience was made public late last year when the museum upgraded one of its full-motion flight simulators. The simulator allows visitors to fly historic World War II aircraft, including the Zero, Wildcat, Hellcat, Corsair, Kawasaki George and P-38 Lightning. The final three simulators will be upgraded sometime in 2009, according to museum officials. Read More→
